All students are eligible for financial assistance at St. Louis Academy. We rely on small businesses and individuals to donate to our parish SGO account, which allows us to offset tuition of families who need additional support. Those who donate to our school’s SGO fund receive a tax credit for 50% of the amount of their donation. See form and button to submit a one-time donation. A tax letter will be sent to you with your tax credit information after you make your donation.

Additionally, families who qualify, based on their household size and income, receive an Indiana Choice Scholarship, which is a voucher provided to the school in the name of the child to pay for tuition.

Call Principal Diller at (260) 749-5815 for more information on one or both of these tuition subsidies. Thank you for your support!

All Preschool Scholarship Applications are due by Friday, May 10.

*Please note that a FACTS Grant and Aid application is mandatory for any family receiving any scholarship or tuition subsidy. Please complete an application at FACTS. If you already completed FACTS Grant and Aid for a previous request, an additional application is unnecessary. No scholarships will be granted unless FACTS is complete with your uploaded W2s and 2022 1040. Contact Mrs. Diller if you have any questions.

UPDATED FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR

St. Louis Academy is a participating school in the Indiana Choice Scholarship Program (commonly referred to as the "voucher" program.)

Details are still being finalized to publish, but the legislative extensions to the Choice Scholarships have made SGO funding available to preschoolers whose families meet the new household size and income guidelines. SGOs are scholarships provided by each parish from funds they collect from individuals or small business owners. The SGO funds collected by the parish were previously given to students to qualify them to receive the Indiana Choice Scholarship (voucher), as was necessary under previous legislation as a "pathway". The new legislation eliminates the need for a "pathway", making kindergarten students immediately eligible for Indiana Choice Scholarships (vouchers) if the child is an Indiana resident and the family falls within the household size and income guidelines.

To put it plainly:

SGO- Scholarship funds collected and given by the individual parish

Choice Scholarship- Scholarship provided by the state with funds earmarked for all Hoosier students

*Both scholarships are only available to families who are Indiana residents and fall within the household size and income guidelines.

Below is an UPDATED Scholarship Application for preschool families who now qualify for an SGO scholarship. We are waiting for an income table with the eligibility guidelines extending to 400% Free/Reduced as passed. If you are over the income guidelines on the application and wondering if you qualify with the new numbers, please reach out.

  1. The student must reside in Indiana.

  2. The household’s annual income must be less than 400% of the Federal Reduced Lunch guidelines. Eligibility for the Choice Scholarship Program is based on family income (Adjusted Gross Income) as reported on the 1040 of the most recent year’s taxes.

  3. Must be between the ages of 5 and 22 no later than August 1st of the school year.

For more information on the Indiana Choice Scholarship Program, please contact Principal Diller at (260) 749-5815.
